The Golfing Society
The Society was established 1932 and became a Member of the Livery Companies’ Golfing Society the following year. The ethos behind the society is for friendly social occasions with the standard of playing being of less importance. A day’s play is followed by an informal dinner. In recent years the Golfing Society has held an annual dinner at Skinners’ Hall.
Each year an Inter-Livery competition is held for the Prince Arthur of Connaught Cup, held at Walton Health, Surrey. The Company won in 1977, the 50th year of the cup.
In 1997 an association was formed with No. II (AC) Squadron at RAF Marham, Norfolk where a team of twelve compete for a new trophy at the Royal Air Force base.
