The Livery Committee
The Livery Committee was established in 1974 by Master John Colin Gray to allow younger Liverymen not on the Court the opportunity to take a greater interest in the Company and manage events and visits and, as a result, raise funds for charity. Visits have included trips abroad, establishing connections with towns such as Bruges in 1997 and Valencia, the home of the Spanish fan industry, the following year.
Recently, the Committee has toured the Houses of Parliament, visited Dennis Severs House in Folgate Street, the Royal Aircraft Establishment in Farnborough, experienced the ‘Ceremony of the Keys’ at the Tower of London, and toured Cranfield University with whom the Company is affiliated.
