Education
The Fan Makers support a diversity of educational establishments in and around London with grants and student bursaries to students who are unable to fund tuition fees.

CIBSE Bursary
CIBSE Bursary. Fan Makers in association with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) award a bursary each year to a student of limited financial means, who has the potential to make a difference in the UK Engineering Industry and to excel academically.
A second bursary is awarded to a recipient to further academic learning, research and innovation in the field of Building Services. This is in the name of Brian Moss former President of CIBSE and a Fan Maker.

Cranfield University Bursary
Cranfield University Bursary The Fan Makers fund jointly with Cranfield University a Bursary to pay the fees of a promising student, who could not otherwise afford it, to undertake the Thermal Power MSc course at the Propulsion Engineering Centre. lansbury lawrence school
Lansbury Lawrence School in Tower Hamlets was built as part of the exhibition of modern living for the Festival of Britain in 1951. It is a vibrant socially and economically diverse school located in one of the financially disadvantaged areas of London. It is well known for its achievements in creative arts and in 2025 it achieved an outstanding Ofsted status. The Fan Makers has a long-established association with the Elizabeth Lansbury Nursery and the wider school community. Members of the Fan Maker Company have served on the Governing Board since 1991.

Treloar’s School was established in 1907 by the then Lord Mayor of London, Sir William Purdie Treloar. Treloar’s is a leading provider of care, therapy, medical support and independence training to disabled young people.
