The Evening began with pre-dinner drinks on the elegant garden terrace overlooking London Wall, accompanied by live music from talented performers from World Heart Beat - a charity proudly supported by the Fanmakers.
Guests were welcomed into the entrance hall by a stunning display of antique and contemporary fans, thoughtfully curated by Anne Marie Benson. Selected from the collection, these exquisite pieces were admired by all who attended.
Dinner was served in the grand dining room, presided over by the striking Holbein painting of King Henry VIII with his physicians and surgeons – a remarkable piece in which the King is notably depicted as significantly larger than those around him. The meal, catered by Searcy’s, was superb and received with enthusiasm by both members and guests.
Unique floral arrangements by Freeman Jane Horton @hortensiaflowerschool adorned the entrance and dining areas adding to the elegance of the evening and drawing much admiration.
The highlight of the evening was a compelling and inspiring address from Tracy Burley, Chief Executive of St.Giles Trust, the charity being a long-standing associate of The Company. The speech offered thought-provoking insights into the impactful work and ongoing development of the charity.
The evening concluded with more drinks, laughter and warm conversation – a chance to reconnect with old friend and welcome new faces – before stepping out into the summer night.
