Installation Dinner at Saddlers' Hall

The Worshipful Company of Fan Makers celebrated the election of their new Master, Dinesh Naidu, Free warden Christopher Turner and the new Foreign warden Richard Jeffery at a dinner held at Saddlers' Hall with over 140 Liverymen, freemen and their guests. The celebrated French fan maker M. Frederick Gay attended, and brought a fabulous collection of his fans which were on display during the evening. The Master's Principal Guest was Richard Clifford, a Trustee of the Charity REACT which is supported by the fan makers' Charitable donations. Richard Clifford is a well known actor and producer and he regaled us with anecdotes from his thespian life alongside his husband Sir Derek Jacobi who we were fortunate also to welcome to the top table. They are both supporters of REACT, who work to improve the quality of life for children with life limiting illnesses living in financially disadvantaged households. We wish the new Master and Wardens a very enjoyable year.
