Relief of poverty
The Fan Makers support the following three charities which offer essential services to homeless and impoverished people though provision of accommodation, nutritious meals and personal support.
Providence Row
Providence Row has been supporting people affected by homelessness in East London since 1860. It works with around 1,200 homeless and vulnerably housed people a year, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery and learning and training programmes.
The Soup Kitchen
The Soup Kitchen, located just off Tottenham Court Road, plays a vital role in supporting the homeless, elderly, isolated and vulnerable people of London. They offer nourishing meals, clothing and mental health support, and foster a strong sense of community for nearly 200 guests daily. The Fan Makers provide regular volunteers as well as financial support.
Your Place
Your Place (formerly Caritas Anchor House), based in the London Borough of Newham, is dedicated to solving homelessness in East London, one person at a time. It offers hope, a home and a healing place to grow, where people who’ve lost their homes can get the individual support they need within a safe, caring community.
