Kings Foundation - Fan Making Course - Highgrove

The Master and Mistress Fan Maker led a small team at the inaugural fan making course at Highgrove, with the King's Foundation, in May this year. Eight students, from varying backgrounds, learned the basic skills of fan leaf design, decoration, pleating fan leaves and glueing to timber sticks.

The students were taught by Sophia Mace and Liveryman Tom Saunders; huge thanks are due to them both for their creative tuition. The course was a great success as demonstrated by the fantastic fans produced. The King's Foundation were very pleased with the success of the course and are planning a second course. details will follow.‍
